Description
The Buskers Festival, or Street Musicians Festival, in Ferrara - started as a small jam session of street musicians in 1987. It has grown into a festival of major proportion with over 500 musical street artists (representing at least 50 countries) in attendance playing everything from Celtic harps to Mongolian instruments. The beautiful main piazza itself is reason enough for a visit but when filled with strolling minstrels it takes on a magical effect. The event takpes place over a full week at the end of August.
