ll Baio Relais Resort and Natural Spa is a new hotel vacation proposal in Umbria which combines good food with relaxation and staying healthy.
Il Baio offers, therefore, a combination of relais vacation accommodation, on site restaurant, fully equipped health spa, as well as a business and events venue all located in the Umbrian countryside near Spoleto.
The words Baio actually means 'bay' in Italian and is a reference to the origins of the location as breeding stables. A number of the earlier structures have been converted to host visitors.
The large grounds and open spaces still offer the opportunity to take a horse ride and alternative holiday facilities include a pitch & putt golf course, two swimming pools and mountain bikes.
ROOMS
12 Classic and 6 Superior rooms or 6 Country and 3 Garden suites for a maximum capacity of 80 guests at any one time.
The Garden Suites boast a separate lounge, double bedroom with Tau, closet, bathroom with relaxing tub and shower.
All rooms are furnished with satellite TV, wireless internet, mini bar, safe, hairdryer, telephone and individual climate control.
MEETING AND SPA
The Spa or beauty farm features a heated pool, hydro massage, relaxation area, sauna and steam bath. Infusion, music, chromo, Kniepp therapies and phytotherapy as well as the latest generation of Jean Klebert equipment are all offered to both resident guests and day visitors.
The therapies can be customised and are also integrated with the meal offered by the restaurant. The amenities of the Natural Spa are available to guests, as well as the general public.
The Meeting Centre can host 130 delegates and has a state of the art audio video system. There is also a large area for coffee breaks, working meals and, most importantly, relaxation.
The Sala della Scuderie Conference Room is fully equipped also offers a relaxing area with cafeteria for a business breakfast and coffee break.
Il Baio Relais is offering, in cooperation with a local Incoming tour operator, a selection of holiday activities to enjoy to the full your stay in Umbria.
The packages are scheduled throughout the month of May, June and July and include gourmet tours to discover truffles, wine and olive oil, as well as guided visits of such cultural sites as the Castello di Pissignano and Palazzo Trinci, entrance tickets to the Spoleto festival and more.
DINING
The elegant and spacious restaurant of Il Baio is situated in the old farmhouse and can host up to 170 guests. It is open to both overnight guests and outside customers.
The Chef uses only the local ingredients of typical Umbrian regional cooking available near Spoleto.
